Job Summary:
As a Unit Manager, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic leadership to our unit office. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that key performance indicators and targets are not only met but exceeded. From planning and coordinating sales activities to providing top-notch customer service, you’ll be the driving force behind our success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Plan and coordinate sales activities, events, and programs within the unit office to drive business growth.
- Training and Development: Conduct trainings on company products, processes, sales techniques, and soft skills to empower your team.
- Hands-On Support: Conduct field training with sales representatives to ensure a hands-on approach to sales and provide guidance when needed.
- Performance Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the unit office and ensure that performance targets are consistently met.
- Coaching and Mentorship: Provide one-to-one coaching, mentoring, and motivation to team members to enhance their performance.
- Market Expansion: Identify market segments and open new markets for sales representatives to secure business within the region.
- Sales Target Achievement: Drive your team towards meeting and exceeding sales targets to maximize revenue.
- Customer Service Excellence: Provide effective customer service to both prospective and existing customers to build strong relationships.
- Reporting: Prepare sales and management reports as required to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Asset Management: Manage office assets and inventory at the unit level to ensure efficient operations.
Working Relationships:
- Internal Relationships: Report to the Regional Manager and collaborate closely with other departments such as training and sales managers.
- External Relationships: Interact with Kupa Kenya customers to understand their needs and provide solutions.
Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications Required:
- A bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Life Insurance industry.
- Experience in Unit Management is an added advantage.
- Relevant professional qualifications in Insurance are preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Above-average computer skills.
