Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and educational activities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to the holistic development of children.
  • Assess students’ progress and provide feedback to parents and guardians regularly.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to enhance the quality of education and support services.
  • Promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children through engaging activities.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student attendance, performance, and behavior.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Valid teaching certificate/license from the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
  • Proven experience working with young children in a formal or informal educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for working with children and a commitment to their holistic development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and community members.
  • Knowledge of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Proficiency in both English and Kiswahili languages.
