JOB DESCRIPTION

Candidate Profile

Are you ready to seize the opportunity to drive sales while managing key accounts? Join our team as an Outside Sales Representative where you’ll take charge of the southeast Michigan and Toledo, Ohio regions. About 80% of this role will focus on sales, with the remaining 20% dedicated to account management.

Duties and Responsibilities

As an Outside Sales Representative, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing business relationships within the municipal market.
  • Negotiating pricing and contracts, ensuring adherence to terms.
  • Developing and nurturing relationships with both potential and existing clients.
  • Providing essential information, quotes, and other bid specifications to clients.
  • Undertaking other duties or projects as assigned.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in public relations, marketing, sales, management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Flexibility to attend evening meetings.
  • An understanding of the municipal decision-making process.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • While prior waste experience is advantageous, it is not required.
  • Prior experience in municipal government or relations is preferred.

Location & Travel

This role requires 100% travel, including occasional visits to our corporate office in Clinton Township, MI. A monthly vehicle allowance will be provided.
