JOB SUMMARY

Beiersdorf East Africa Limited, a leading skincare company, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Brand Manager for the DERMA division in the Central, East, and West Africa (CEWA) region. As a Senior Brand Manager, you will play a crucial role in implementing the marketing strategy for Eucerin, a prominent brand under Beiersdorf’s portfolio. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive brand growth, develop innovative marketing initiatives, and lead digital consumer engagement strategies. The position is based in either Nairobi, Kenya, or Lagos, Nigeria, and reports directly to the Head of Marketing, Derma – AME.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

Strategic Responsibilities:

  • Implement the Eucerin consumer marketing strategy in the CEWA region.
  • Ensure alignment of global marketing strategy with local consumer and market needs.
  • Drive double-digit brand growth through innovative marketing initiatives and superior in-market activities.
  • Elevate digital consumer marketing to new heights, leveraging emerging trends and technologies.

Product Marketing Plan:

  • Develop and execute the yearly PMP strategy for the CEWA region in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure excellence in PMP execution throughout the year to drive brand visibility and sales.
  • Oversee activation and local execution across CEWA markets, utilizing global and regional resources effectively.

In-Depth Market & Consumer Knowledge:

  • Develop a deep understanding of market trends, competitors, and consumer behaviors to inform strategic decisions.
  • Strengthen consumer orientation within the team and foster closeness to the field through market research and analysis.

Brand Development:

  • Drive brand demand, improve profitability, and maximize market share through performance analysis and strategic recommendations.
  • Identify risks and opportunities, validate promotional objectives, and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to execute plans effectively.

Brand Profitability:

  • Manage product assortment, ATL and BTL budget, and pricing strategies to achieve net margin objectives.
  • Control marketing investment in line with the agreed plan/forecast, identifying opportunities for optimization.

Digital:

  • Lead the digital development of the Eucerin brand across digital platforms in the CEWA region.
  • Manage precision marketing, social media channels, influencer strategy, SEO, and CRM implementation to achieve KPIs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external agencies, and local partners to ensure consistent execution of digital marketing plans.
