Biomedical Engineers Pre-Qualification Panel

Job Title: Biomedical Engineers – On-Call
Location: Various Locations Across Kenya

Job Overview:
CBSL is seeking to pre-qualify a panel of experienced Biomedical Engineers and Technicians for on-call positions. Our engineers specialize in servicing a range of medical equipment, including anesthesia machines, ventilators, dialysis machines, and more. By joining our team, you will be part of a dedicated group providing essential services to ensure the smooth operation of medical facilities across Kenya.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation, servicing, and calibration of medical equipment.
• Conducting user training for medical personnel.

Position 1: Anesthesia and Ventilator Services Technician – On-Call

Job Description:

• Install, service, and calibrate anesthesia and ventilator machines.
• Provide user training to healthcare professionals.
• Perform periodic preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Prepare and submit job cards for completed assignments.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Biomedical Engineering.
• 10 years of experience in repairing, servicing, and calibrating anesthesia and ventilator machines.
• Must be a member of AMEK (Association of Medical Engineers of Kenya).

Position 2: Imaging Equipment (X-Ray and Ultrasound) Technician – On-Call

Job Description:

• Install, service, and calibrate imaging equipment (X-ray, ultrasound).
• Provide user training to healthcare professionals.
• Perform periodic preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Prepare and submit job cards for completed assignments.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Biomedical Engineering.
• Certified by KNRA (Kenya Nuclear Regulatory Authority).
• 5 years of experience in the maintenance, repair, and installation of X-ray machines.
• Must be a member of AMEK.

• Form 4 certificate.
• 3 years of experience in brazing work and medical gases equipment.
• Experience in oxygen plant installation and welding is a plus.

• Assist in the daily operations of CBSL by providing administrative support.
• Manage communication, including responding to emails and answering calls.
• Maintain records, organize files, and coordinate meetings.
• Prepare reports and presentations as needed.
• Support inventory management and procurement processes.
• Follow up on client payments and maintain financial records.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive problem-solving attitude.
