Summary:
ChildFund International, a renowned child-focused international development organization operating in 24 countries, is seeking a dedicated Finance Intern to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. Job Description: Duties and Responsibilities:
Processing of Supplier Invoices:
- Accurately and timely processing of supplier invoices to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Adherence to proper authorization procedures before payments are made, maintaining compliance with organizational policies.
Staff Expense Claims:
- Responsible for processing staff expense claims in alignment with organizational policies and procedures, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
Document Management:
- Efficient filing and archiving of financial documents to facilitate easy retrieval and support the audit process.
- Support the audit process by retrieving documents as required, contributing to the overall financial transparency and accountability.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Willingness to undertake any other duties assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
Qualifications and Competencies:
Education and Certifications:
- University degree in Accounting or Finance, providing a solid foundation in financial principles.
- CPA Level II certification is desirable, showcasing a commitment to professional development.
Skills and Attributes:
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office suite and accounting software.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
