Position Overview

The Laboratory Manager will oversee the operations of a research laboratory supporting a longitudinal study on the impacts of extended-spectrum cephalosporin-resistant Enterobacterales (ESCrE) colonization. The role involves managing laboratory teams, ensuring data integrity, and maintaining laboratory safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Management: Oversee daily laboratory operations, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of samples.
  • Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures, including using control strains and regular process reviews.
  • Sample Management: Develop and manage systems for sample collection, handling, and tracking to ensure data integrity.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of laboratory technicians, coordinating activities to meet project timelines and deliverables.
  • Safety Protocols: Enforce laboratory safety and biosecurity protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
