About This Role
Customer Care Advocate
Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM CST
As a Customer Care Advocate, you will play a critical role in our high-volume inbound Contact Center. You will verify and investigate patient insurance, estimate benefit coverage and out-of-pocket costs, and discuss patient responsibilities and payment options. Your daily tasks will include answering inbound calls, conducting benefits investigations, and documenting all activities in iRhythm’s customer support system. This role is ideal for someone with experience in a Contact Center, health insurance, benefits investigations, reimbursement, and financial counseling.
Key Responsibilities
- Inbound Call Handling: Answer inbound calls in our Contact Center.
- Benefits Estimation: Provide an estimate of potential patient responsibility based on benefits coverage.
- Outbound Calls: Make outbound phone calls to patients to discuss payment options.
- Documentation: Document all patient and insurance information in Salesforce.
- Interdepartmental Support: Assist and cross-train in other departments during critical times.
- Confidentiality: Maintain patient data and medical records confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Productivity Goals: Meet daily, weekly, and/or monthly productivity metrics.
- Customer Care: Provide superior customer care by troubleshooting issues related to products, services, and patient enrollment.
- Order Fulfillment: Respond to inquiries, complete order fulfillment, and provide information to customers and accounts.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of customer service experience in a healthcare environment.
- Experience in a high-volume Contact Center.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to a fast-paced growth company environment.
- Demonstrated great customer service skills via phone, email, fax, or web.
- Patience and professionalism in stressful situations.
- Independent thinking and sound judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience.
- Experience with health insurance, benefits investigations, and reimbursement.
- Experience in patient communication, financial counseling, and documentation.
- Familiarity with CRM software, Provider Engagement Portals, and Salesforce.
