Role Overview
As a Statistics Tutor at Learner, you’ll play a crucial role in providing one-on-one instruction to students in the field of Statistics. Your responsibilities will include:
- Professional Communication: Maintain timely and professional communication with Learner, students, and clients.
- Assessment: Assess students’ current understanding of Statistics.
- Lesson Planning: Develop and implement personalized lesson plans tailored to students’ individual needs and learning styles.
- Instruction: Deliver clear and engaging instruction to students, fostering a positive learning experience.
- Progress Monitoring: Monitor students’ progress, provide feedback, and offer support as needed.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure student success.
- Schedule Management: Manage your schedule effectively to accommodate students’ needs.
- Environment Maintenance: Maintain a positive and productive learning environment conducive to learning.

Basic Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A bachelor’s degree (non-negotiable).
- 3+ years of professional Statistics tutoring experience (non-negotiable).
- 1+ years of professional online tutoring experience (non-negotiable).
- Expert-level knowledge of Descriptive Statistics, Inferential Statistics, and Data Analysis. Knowledge of Probability and R is a plus.
- A fast, reliable internet connection.
- A computer/laptop and headphones.
- A pen/tablet tool for annotation.
- A professional, quiet environment for tutoring sessions.
- A USA-based bank account and USA SSN (non-negotiable).
- Strong subject matter expertise in Statistics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Time management skills.
Time Commitment
This is a freelance role with an initial commitment of approximately 10 hours per week, with the potential to increase as needed. Availability on nights and weekends is required.
Location
This is a fully remote position. We operate as a distributed team and welcome applicants from anywhere.
