Mombasa County Public Service Board

Welcome to the Mombasa County Public Service Board, established under Section 57 of the County Government Act, 2012. We are entrusted with the vital task of human resource management and the promotion of values & principles of public service within the County Government of Mombasa.

Our Vision

To be a leading County Public Service Board in Kenya, delivering efficient and quality service to our citizens.

Our Mission

To ensure the residents of Mombasa receive quality and professional public service in a robust, efficient, and effective manner.

Our Functions

As outlined in Section 59 of the County Government Act, 2012, our core functions include:

1. Establishing and abolishing offices in the County public service.
2. Appointing individuals to hold or act in offices of the County public service.
3. Exercising disciplinary control.
4. Promoting the values and principles of the County public service.
5. Developing coherent, integrated human resource planning and budgeting for personnel emoluments.
6. Providing regular reports to the County Assembly.
7. Issuing advisories to the County Government on human resource management.
8. Making recommendations to the Salaries and Remuneration Commission regarding the remuneration, pension, and gratuities of public officers.
