About the Programme

The Girl Generation (TGG): Support to the Africa Led Movement to End FGM/C Programme, (TGG-ALM) is a consortium led by Options Consultancy Services. It aims to empower girls and women to exercise their rights and choices freely and to end female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C) globally. The program collaborates closely with various partners and stakeholders across Kenya, Senegal, Ethiopia, and Somaliland.

Position: Grantees Capacity Building Consultants

Job Summary

We are seeking Grantees Capacity Building Consultants to facilitate organizational capacity building within our partner organizations. The consultants will work closely with the TGG-ALM Programme team to implement a defined methodology aimed at enhancing the capabilities of our grantees.

Key Responsibilities:

Category 1: Governance and Strategic Leadership
  • Assist in forming governing bodies and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Provide guidance on strategic leadership, planning, and succession planning.
  • Foster organizational culture and enhance internal communication channels.
Category 2: Organizational Management and Sustainability
  • Develop operational policies and procedures tailored to the needs of each grantee.
  • Support resource mobilization efforts, including fundraising and proposal writing.
  • Advise on financial sustainability, partnership building, and networking strategies.
Category 3: Human Resources and Administration Management
  • Offer expertise in human resources management, procurement, logistics, and asset/property management.
Category 4: M&E and Knowledge Management
  • Facilitate technical reporting and knowledge management activities.
  • Promote learning and adaptive programming to enhance project outcomes.
Deliverables:
  • Production of policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for each grantee.
  • Capacity building reports documenting the implementation of workshops and training sessions.
  • Submission of a comprehensive consultancy report to Options Consultancy Services.
Requirements:
  • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commitment to promoting girls’ and women’s rights.
  • Previous experience in conducting national-level trainings or workshops preferred.
  • Experience in the humanitarian sector, particularly in Kenya, is advantageous.
