POSITION / ROLE SUMMARY
Job Title: Strategic Planning Consultant, MENA
Overview:
The Strategic Planning Consultant will develop The Hurra Coalition’s Strategic Plan 2024-2029, defining the coalition’s mission, vision, and objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Review and Analysis:
- Review Hurra coalition objectives and membership criteria.
- Undertake stakeholder mapping and analysis.
- Analyze past Hurra campaigns and activities.

Consultative Process:
- Conduct consultative sessions and interviews with Hurra members, partners, and strategic stakeholders.
- Identify focus areas and strategic objectives for the Hurra coalition.

Strategic Development:
- Develop the Hurra coalition mandate, vision, and mission.
- Assess and enhance the coalition’s governance, structure, and administrative systems.

Planning and Monitoring:
- Develop an implementation and monitoring plan.
- Create a Results and Resources Framework for the plan period.

Collaboration:
- Present the Strategic Plan to the Hurra Secretariat, incorporating feedback.
- Maintain regular communication with the Hurra Secretariat.

Facilitation:
- Facilitate the Hurra Coalition Annual Strategic Planning Meeting (July 2024).
- Finalize and submit the Strategic Plan to the Hurra Secretariat.
KEY STAKEHOLDERS
The consultant will closely collaborate with the Equality Now MENA Regional Representative and Gender Advisor, who serve as the Secretariat of the Hurra Coalition. Collaboration with Hurra members will also be essential.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS
- Delivery of a comprehensive strategic plan in Arabic.
- Successful facilitation of the Annual Strategic Planning Meeting.
- Effective online stakeholder meetings.
- Consistent coordination with the EN MENA team and Hurra Coalition Secretariat.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Experience: 10-15 years in strategic planning within the MENA region.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of feminist movement building and international human rights standards.
- Skills: Excellent research, analytical, writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Competencies: Strong planning, time management, and networking abilities.
- Language: Fluency in Arabic required, proficiency in English preferred.
