Position Overview:

As a Qualitative Field Interviewer, you will play a crucial role in a project aimed at enhancing the Implementation Research capabilities of Africa’s academic and research institutions. Through conducting key informant and in-depth interviews, you will contribute to generating actionable insights that inform policy and drive positive social change.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct Key Informant and In-Depth Interviews: Engage with key stakeholders and community members to gather qualitative data that informs research objectives.
• Online Interviewing: Utilize online platforms to conduct interviews and follow up on incomplete data collection.
• Comprehensive Reporting: Compile detailed notes on data collection activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Ad Hoc Tasks: Assist project supervisors with any additional duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in a health-related discipline or equivalent.
• Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience in qualitative data collection methodologies, including key informant interviews and in-depth interviews.
• Desk Review Skills: Proficiency in conducting desk reviews to gather relevant background information.
• Scientific Publishing Knowledge: Familiarity with scientific publishing practices and journal landscapes is advantageous.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and report-writing skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Availability: Must be fully available for the duration of the engagement period.
